A Week in Photos | Weekly Update

Saturday, September 16, 2017

The first and second week of fall semester are through and I'm definitely feeling the semester study struggles already. My physics class has daily written homework, weekly written homework, and weekly online homework so with that class alone I am feeling just a big stressed. I do love it though. We're learning about thermodynamics which I am not too interested in, but it is still interesting.  I feel like I am starting strong in calc, which I hope means I'll do well this semester. This is my third semester here, so even though it was the start of a new year, it felt really natural to get back into the school rhythm.

Here are some photos from my adventures this past week:

What I Binge Watched During Summer Break

Monday, September 4, 2017

Since fall semester starts tomorrow and my summer ends today, I thought it would be fun to make a posts about the cool shows that I watched and enjoyed this summer. I watched a lot of things but binge-watched a handful of shows I absolutely LOVED. Here's a list of shows I binge-watched and loved during my summer break.

Fall Semester Supply Haul

Saturday, September 2, 2017

Fall semester is almost here! I start school this Tuesday and I'm super nervous for the first week and getting settled into my classes. For me, the things that makes this time of year worth the stress and anxiety are the school supplies! Here's a list of supplies I've made to get me through this upcoming fall semester.

Too Shy for the Internet?

Tuesday, July 25, 2017

Since I've turned this into pretty much an online diary I thought I'd post more than just quick updates and add some substance. I've been online for pretty much my whole life. I remember when Myspace was new and I joined Facebook when you had to have a college email and had to be invited by someone who was already a member. However, I've never particularly used the internet in a way that I see most people use it  – as a podium for speaking their mind. It's not that I don't have opinions. I do. very strong ones. I guess I've just the kind of person who thinks way too much before I speak (or type). I'm nervous to be opinionated online because I'm afraid of upsetting someone. Which doesn't make any sense because there are way too many people online and it's bound to happen no matter what. I don't know. I guess the point of this was to say that I wish I was more outspoken both
"IRL" and online.

Physics Major – Semester Review

Tuesday, July 4, 2017

oops. The spring semester proved to be hard work and it it certainly evident in the lack of posts on this blog! I started out strong and then around spring break my determination withered away into nothing and I stopped doing homework and started watching a lot of Netflix. As a result, the last few weeks were a tornado of unworked homework assignments and final papers. Now that it is summer, I feel renewed in the sense that school seems like a fun thing again. I can't wait until fall! Anyway, I did pretty well in my classes but not as well in some than what I had hoped for. I made a vlog about my semester which I'm going to post here instead of writing out everything I've already talked about on camera.

Mini Mid-Semester Update

Saturday, March 11, 2017

This semester has been a lot. I think I'm about half way through as of right now. Most of my classes this semester have two midterms each and I just took the first ones. I'm not too confident in Calculus II and I'm kind of upset about it.

Last semester I loved Calc I so much and aced all my exams but I'm actually struggling in Calc II and I can't figure out why. Well, actually, I think it is because I'm not liking the teaching methods used by my professor this semester and so that is making it difficult for me to keep up because I end up teaching myself pretty much everything. And I'm even going to tutoring two to three times a week! I'm exhausted with just that class alone. I just wish I could find someone to explain things in a way I could understand!

I've been dedicating most of my time to calculus and I've fallen behind in physics which is making really nervous because I want to do well in this class. The lab is such a pain because it requires so much work and takes away time from the lecture class. I'm planning on using spring break as a way to study hard and catch up in physics. I really do enjoy it though and I really do think I'm in the right major. I know I can do it with a lot of hard work and dedication.

Staying Healthy In College

Saturday, February 18, 2017

One thing I've been struggling with during my college career is finding the time to exercise. I love to run. In the summers I run everyday and it's one of my favorite ways to relax. During the semester it can be hard to make exercising a priority. Here's a list of possible ways to motivate yourself (myself) to exercise when you think there's not enough time.

Binge Worthy Sci-Fi TV Shows

Thursday, January 12, 2017

I feel like Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime are the trinity of unity that all college students share. It's rare that I meet someone who doesn't have one of the three. As a college student, one of my favorite pastimes is binge watching tv shows instead of studying. I spend a great deal of time sifting through the good and the bad in order to find the perfect shows. Here's my list of binge-worthy sci-fi shows that have it all.
